A relaxing read that's perfect for the beach. Twice Shy by Mary Hughes is a quick read that allows you to escape for a couple hours. If you enjoy contemporary romance, I highly recommend this book.
These two have it hard trying to find a way to begin a relationship. With her sister thinking he’s interested in her and him trying to be cautious with said sister, things keep getting blown out of proportion. At least she finally grows a backbone and defends herself and Zan. I really enjoyed the humor and romance in this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
Zan Sinclair is trying to meet his ex- girlfriend's sister by using his ex-girlfriend Ronnie. Ronnie is so sure Zan is trying to get back with her and not Vicky her sister.
The meeting takes place at a large communication convention and Ronnie has no idea Vicky is the center of Zan's attention. It is a funny story and poor Vicky is so shy and whenever she tries to do things something strange and out of place happens. You will laugh until tears start at some of the things that happen.
In many cases I wanted to get in the book and shake Ronnie as she seemed to be so stuck on herself and used her sister in some mean ways. I wanted to slap Ronnie silly many times but since it was impossible I allowed Vicky her sister to handle it.ha ha
I was in awe some of the things Ronnie was doing and couldn't imagine ever having such a life but it was quite interesting.
I recommend this book as it was enjoyable and funny and has an ending that some people may take a lesson from.
This was a good storyline, but it would have been a much better book if the story had been developed more. Parts of the book were boring...not enough dialogue.
